the other day it hit me, hit me like a ton of bricks
ravaged my being, made my stomach sick
to think behaviors displayed could show this frailty of mind
supporters cheer in astonishment, believe me they are too kind
the clowns are still crying, and it's plain to see
a uniform of jubilance shadows discomplacency
streets once paved with gold now shape up to arduous cobblestone foes
the paths were once shared by those
now thorn covered rituals of denial
where did i go wrong?
suffering through the wounds of
only time will tell
tear it down throw it out never think of both
