Surreality

I have felt the rain when the skies were clear
heard the howling wind whisper words into my ear
I have the best dreams, they happen when I'm not asleep
and it seems that the unseen is more real than the seen
whenever I think I see all that there is to perceive
I'm completely wrong
there is another realm and my senses cannot tell
what's going on

I'm in a moment of disbelief, a kind of surreality
it just can't be, no it can't be
I can't believe this is happening to me

Go make sense of life, expose it in different lights
can reality be a lie that is veiled before our eyes?
cause truth is stranger than all the fiction we could pretend
to happen and our sheltered, naive worldview ends
