The Thief and the Moon

Said the Thief to the Moon, "I'll extinguish your light soon.
I'll put an end to all the light that you shed on this world in it's darkened state."

Said the Moon to the Thief, "You know not of what you seek.
You'll doom the world to wander the night with no light to guide the paths that men seek."

Thief: "Oh, but all the wealth in the world will be mine
without a means of defense for all those blind.
My very existence is a race to attain wealth,
for the thief's only loyalties in life are to the devil and himself."

Moon: "The earth will rise up and devour all that you are.
The skies call forth thunderous storms from afar.
When you're dead, there will be no grave to remember your name,
for your greed bring your end and there's no one but yourself to blame."

El Ladrón y la Luna

Dijo el Ladrón a la Luna, “Yo extinguiré tu luz pronto.
Pondré fin a toda la luz que has arrojado sobre este mundo en su oscuro estado.”

Dijo la Luna al Ladrón, “no sabes lo que buscas.
Condenarás al mundo a deambular la noche sin ninguna luz que guíe los senderos que el hombre busca.”

Ladrón: “Oh, pero toda riqueza en el mundo será mía
sin intenciones de defensa de aquellos ciegos.
Mi entera existencia es una carrera para conseguir riqueza,
pues las únicas lealtades del ladrón son para el diablo y para sí mismo.”

Luna: “La tierra se alzará y devorará todo lo que eres.
Los cielos provocarán atronadores tormentas desde lejos.
Cuando estés muerto, no habrá tumba que recuerde tu nombre,
pues tu avaricia trae tu final y no hay nadie salvo a ti a quien culpar.”
